Lezing Lecture		Niet uitvlakken .. zoek Betekenis! Alle kunst is informatie, maar niet alle informatie is kunst. Het spanningsveld tussen kunst en informatie culmineert in een punt dat ik poetisch inzicht noem: het punt, waarop datgene wat we betekenisvol kunnen zeggen omslaat in datgene wat we niet meer kunnen zeggen, maar enkel betekenisvol tonen. Op dat moment verdwijnt ook ons gevoel van 'overvloed en onbehagen' - het thema van deze Maand van de Filosofie. Op dat moment voelt alles 'precies goed'. Not to be sneezed at - look for Meaning! All art is information, but not all information is art. The tension between art and information culminates in a point which I call poetic understanding: the moment in which what we can meaningfully say turns into something we are unable to speak about, but can only meaningfully show. At that moment, our feeling of 'plenty and malaise' - main theme of this Month of Philosophy - disappears. At that moment, everything feels 'exactly right'. Presentatie Presentation		Remodelling Reality Onze pogingen om de werkelijkheid in al zijn complexiteit te begrijpen en te overzien is voor ons aanleiding om kunst te maken als ook om filosofie en wetenschap te bedrijven. Om enige grip te krijgen op die complexiteit, maken we systemen, modellen en kunstwerken van bepaalde aspecten van de werkelijkheid. Kortom: we hermodelleren de werkelijkheid. In deze presentatie vergelijkt Tine Wilde, met behulp van eigen kunst, invalshoeken omtrent installatiekunst met de filosofische, Wittgensteiniaanse notie van heldere representatie om haar ideeën over deze hermodellering te verhelderen. Remodelling Reality Our attempts to understand and make sense of reality in all its complexity is for us the main reason to practice art, science and philosophy. In order to come to grips with this complexity, we make systems, models, as well as artworks from certain aspects of reality. In short: we remodel our reality. In this presentation, Tine Wilde compares, guided by her own artwork, approaches in installation art with the philosophical.
