Lezing Lecture		Over het Concept van Conceptuele Kunst Installatiekunst komt voort uit het gedachtegoed van conceptuele kunst. In deze lezing bespreek ik wat ik onder conceptuele kunst versta, wat het belang ervan is, en hoe ik bepaalde aspecten van conceptuele kunst gebruik in de uitwerking van installaties. Niet zozeer is de kunst zelf hoofddoel, maar veel meer het begrip van onszelf en de wereld. De kunstenaar onderwerpt een pakketreis van een concept aan een onderzoek, waarin zien en denken samengaan. On the Concept of Conceptual Art The art of installation stems from conceptual art. In this lecture I want to explain what I mean by conceptual art, its importance and how I use certain aspects of conceptual art in the production of installations. Art itself is not the main aim, rather the understanding of ourselves and the world. The artist investigates a package tour of a concept in which seeing and thinking go hand in hand.

Hoe stevig staan onze normen en alledaagse zekerheden? A Package Tour of philosophy and visual art A survey of twenty years of inquiry into philosophy and visual art, in which several groundbreaking projects {Package tours) were scrutinised: paranoia at the European Committee in Strasbourg; a dip in the Rhine in Cologne; a solitairy shelter holiday in the fallout shelter of Dalfsen. How solid are our norms and everyday certainties?
Performance Performance		Living Picture is een performance waarin kunstenaars en filosofen samenkomen in een übersichtliche Darstellung als een bevroren moment om op deze manier opnieuw dit verdedigingsritueel en wat het ons vandaag te zeggen heeft, te overdenken. Ter gelegenheid van de verdediging van dissertatie en artists book Remodel[l]ing Reality, Oude Lutherse kerk (UvA), Amsterdam 12|11 2008 Living Picture is a performance in which artists and philosophers merge in an übersichtliche Darstellung as a frozen moment, in order to rethink the meaning of this defence-ritual and what it has to tell us today. Workshop Workshop		Conceptuele Analyse & Reflexieve Dynamiek richt zich op de vergelijking van Wittgensteins notie van übersichtliche Darstellung en het verschijnsel installatie in de beeldende kunst. Er zijn enkele overeenkomsten en ook verschillen die te maken hebben met Wittgenstein's notie van aspecten zien. Inzicht verkrijgen in deze overeenkomsten en verschillen helpt ons om Wittgensteins opmerkingen beter te begrijpen en de nieuwste ontwikkelingen in de installatiekunst te verhelderen. Op meta-niveau krijgen we een nieuw begrip in de relatie tussen filosofie en kunst. Conceptual Analysis & Reflexive Dynamics focusses on the comparison of Wittgenstein’s notion of übersichtliche Darstellung and the phenomenon of installation in visual art. There are some similarities as well as differences that are tied up with Wittgenstein’s notion of aspect seeing. Gaining insight in these similarities and differences will help us to understand Wittgenstein’s remarks in a more profound way and shed light on the newest developments in the art of installation. On a meta-level we gain a new understanding how philosophy and art are related.
